Danielle Bartlett is a Publicity Director at William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, where she has worked for 16 years. She has spearheaded campaigns for major bestselling crime and mystery authors, including but not limited to Greg Iles, Don Winslow and Patricia Cornwell. In addition to fiction, she works on numerous true crime books, such as Dianne Lake's MEMBER OF THE FAMILY, about Lake's time as a member of the Manson Family. A graduate of New York University, she lived in New York but recently returned to her home town outside of Dallas where she cares for her mother, husband and children.
Danielle and I discuss her job as a Publicity Director at Harper Collins and what her role entails, her road to becoming a book publicist, how publicists at William Morrow are assigned to books, how each book campaign is unique to that book, the book she is an evangelist for, her reading recommendations, and more.
